Netted Bracelets

This week i've been spending a lot of time stitching netted bracelets - inspired by a student who wanted to know how to stitch a cuff she'd seen in a book I wanted to make up my own pattern to teach her... then I got carried away,

I have so far made ten different versions on this theme, experimenting with different bead selections and different trims and ways to stitch them.
I'm most pleased with the double layer netted bracelet i've made, although this will need more refining still - it works very nicely and feels great to wear. Too many ideas and too little time! I'm going to use an extension of this pattern next week to encase / decorate large beads.

I love the repetitive nature of these netting patterns, they link in with my obsession with the patterns created by iron railings and their finials I think. I love the simple but effective patterns like these!
