Workshop Fun

I'm having a busy couple of weeks with workshops at the moment, which is the way I like it! I've met some great ladies who have made some beautiful jewellery over the last week, and have another 5 or so booked in over the coming week.

I'm loving teaching these classes and my students are having lots of fun too, so if you're interested in learning a new skill, or expanding on your existing jewellery skills, do get in touch to see how I can help!

Tomorrow’s class is a 'Bring Your Own' day where students can choose their own selection of project/s from my whole range, or bring their own ideas for me to help them with - it looks like being a busy and fun packed day - I can't wait.

See my workshops page for a current timetable and class descriptions, or have a look at the student gallery to see some of the beautiful jewellery that past students have made, to inspire you.

Happy jewellery making!

Beaded Quilt

I've finally got around to finishing my two entries for the Beadworkers Guild Beaded Quilts....

The idea is that members of the guild each make 5 x 5cm squares of beadwork, which are then sewn up into quilts that will be exhibited during 2011, then raffled. There are going to be two quilts - 'Autumn' and 'Spring'.

My entries - Spring Lambs, and Halloween are below - both created using a flat square of peyote stitch using size 11 seed beads, in my own designs, with applique highlights of size 15 beads.

Bracelets for Exhibition

Sent off three bracelets for the Beadworkers Guild annual display today - Groovy Greens is this year's theme... Look out for the Guild's stand at craft fairs around the country / near you this year!

Right Angle Weave Pearl Bracelet, Fringed bracelet, Peyote Stitch Ruffle Bracelet - you can learn how to make all of these as part of the jewellery making workshops I teach.
